Corrosion-resistant alloys, quoted honestly.
Valve, pump and instrumentation components in stainless, duplex, Inconel, Hastelloy and Monel, with mill certificates traceable to the heat and a CMM report in every box.
What we take
Part families, and what drives the price.
| Family | Typical materials | What usually drives cost |
|---|---|---|
| Valve bodies, seats and stems | 316L · duplex · Inconel 625 | Alloy machinability and sealing-face finish |
| Pump components | Stainless · duplex · bronze | Concentricity and balance |
| Instrumentation hardware | 316L · Monel | Burr-free internal bores and cleanliness |
| Flanges, adapters, manifolds | Carbon steel · stainless | Material certification and traceability |
| Fixtures and service tooling | Tool steel · aluminium | Repeatability and hardened wear faces |
Our manufacturing partner has produced brake and control valves for rail and industrial customers for decades, which is the closest adjacent record to this sector.
How we quote alloy work
The material is usually the schedule risk.
For most energy parts the machining is well understood and the uncertainty sits upstream: whether the specified grade is available in the size you need, from a mill whose certificate your inspector will accept, in time. That is the variable that moves dates.
So we confirm material availability before committing to a milestone date rather than after, and if the honest answer is that the grade is on a long lead we tell you at quote stage — including when that makes us the wrong choice for your timeline.
Questions
What buyers ask about alloy work.
Can you machine Inconel, Hastelloy and duplex stainless?
Yes. Expect longer cycle times and higher tooling cost than austenitic stainless — that is physics, not a quoting position, and it is reflected honestly in the price rather than discovered as a variation later. Confirm the exact grade at RFQ, because substitutions within a family change both the process and the price.
Do you provide NACE or sour-service compliant material?
We can source to a specified standard and supply the mill certificates that evidence it. We do not perform the qualification testing ourselves — that goes to a qualified subcontractor and we say which on the quote.
Can you do pressure or leak testing?
Helium leak testing is available through our inspection route where a drawing calls for it. Hydrostatic and pressure testing to a specific code goes to a qualified subcontractor, named on the quote.
Do you handle weldments and fabricated assemblies?
Yes, through our manufacturing partner, who produces aluminium weldments and fabricated assemblies as well as machined components. Coding and procedure qualification requirements should be raised at RFQ so we can confirm before quoting.
