Why we lead with cleanliness

A part machined correctly and packed badly is a scrapped part.

In your process, a particle that would be invisible on an automotive bracket is a yield problem. Most machine shops treat cleaning as the last ten minutes of the job — a rinse, a bench, a bag from the roll by the door. That is where the contamination comes from, and it is not visible on an inspection report.

So we made it a documented process step with its own record, and we published it. You can read it before you send us anything, and hold us to it afterwards.

Tolerance and verification

Three tiers, because one number would be a sales figure.

Most suppliers publish a single tolerance — usually their best result ever achieved, on one feature, once. That tells you nothing about what arrives on a Tuesday. Here is how we actually think about it, so you can make the cost trade before you finalise the drawing.

The middle tier is the one worth reading twice. A shop that quotes ±0.03 mm as if it were free is either absorbing the scrap quietly or is about to have a conversation with you about it later. We would rather have that conversation at quote stage.

What arrives

What is in the box when it reaches your dock.

  1. The parts, double-bagged

    Heat-sealed inner and outer bag. The outer bag comes off at your airlock; the inner bag is opened inside your clean area, not before.
  2. A CMM report against your drawing

    Your balloon numbers, our measured values, the instrument used. Written so your incoming inspection can accept the parts without phoning us.

  3. The cleaning record

    Which procedure revision was run, by whom, and the rinse verification result. The evidence behind the claim, not just the claim.
  4. Material certification

    Mill certificates traceable to the heat or lot, where your drawing or your quality agreement calls for them.

Questions buyers ask us

The things a supplier audit asks first.

Do you operate a cleanroom?

No. We do not operate a classified cleanroom and we do not claim an ISO class for our packing environment. Parts are cleaned and double-bagged to a written procedure that we will send you before you place an order, so you can judge it against your own incoming requirements rather than taking a badge on trust.

What tolerance can you hold?

Three tiers, and we quote against them honestly. ±0.05 mm (50 µm) is guaranteed across the envelope. ±0.03 mm (30 µm) is held on roughly 95% of qualifying features first pass, so we quote it with a small yield allowance rather than pretending it is free. ±0.01 mm (10 µm) is possible, but machining and verification cost both rise steeply and we review it feature by feature at DFM before committing.

Do you provide a CMM report?

Yes, on every shipment, at no extra charge. It carries your balloon numbers, our measured values and the instrument used, so your incoming inspection can accept the parts without phoning us. Surface finish is verified against drawing callouts down to Ra 0.4 µm.

Can you work to our cleaning and packaging specification instead of yours?

Yes, and this is the normal case for equipment makers who already have a spec. Send it with your drawings at RFQ. If there is a step we cannot meet in-house we will tell you at quote stage and propose how to cover it, rather than discovering it at first article.

What documentation ships with the parts?

A CMM report against your drawing, a cleaning record, and the packing detail. Material certificates and first-article inspection reports where the job calls for them. Included as standard, not quoted as an extra.

Where is the machining actually done?

Engineering, supplier qualification, inspection and assembly are ours in Singapore. Machining is executed by a manufacturing partner we qualified and audit, operating since 1980 across three plants and holding IATF 16949 and AS9100D among others. Those are our partner's certificates, not ours — we are happy to discuss the arrangement in detail under NDA.

Do you hold ISO 9001?

Your parts are machined under an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system — our manufacturing partner holds it, together with IATF 16949 and AS9100D. HsquaredTech's own ISO 9001, scoped to what we do in Singapore (engineering, supplier qualification, incoming inspection and assembly), is in progress. We state both, because supplier certificates do not transfer up the chain and your audit will check.
